Villa Masefield

Location, Location, Location. We chose the plot of land to build our villa on because of the amazing views overlooking the vineyards and surrounding villages. The villa was built so that the rear faces south which means we get sun almost all day. The villa comprises of:

• The Kitchen – We have equipped the kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make your holiday comfortable, there are enough plates and knives and forks for a whole days meals. Large pull our drawers have everything you could need for your holiday and more. Many bowls and items collected over the years from other countries. We also have a large collection of preparing knives (please protect your children from these!). One thing I managed to obtain was a double oven with eyelevel grill above which is a pull up cupboard with the microwave normally all French kitchens just have a single oven. There is also a pull out larder. In the metal bookcase there is an extensive range of cookbooks including Mary Berry & Rick Stein. It also contains a number of wine reference books.
  Between the kitchen and dining room is a breakfast area for 4 people. Which then leads onto the open plan dining room & living room with door out to the garden and terrace.
• Open Plan Dining Area – The front door leads into a small hall area and then into the dining area with sideboard and dining table with 8 chairs and bookcase full of books left by previous guests. The patio doors, which slide into the walls either side, lead onto the uncovered terrace. Two large air-con units serve the downstairs open plan area.
• The living Room – This has 2 sofas and occasional chairs with coffee tables. There is a large TV with fire stick  & DVD player. Patio doors lead to the terrace and drive. An exit door leads to the downstairs bedrooms & separate loo.
• Bedroom 1 – This bedroom is downstairs with patio doors leading to stairs with wonderful views overlooking the garden and vineyards in the distance.  Double bed, dressing table, double wardrobe, hanging part & shelves, bedside tables with lights. Air con.  En suite bathroom with shower over, vanity unit with cupboard. Towel rail. This bedroom shares a separate loo with Bedroom 2.
• Bedroom 2 – Twin bedroom downstairs with amazing views from window over the village and towards Pezenas & Sete in the distance. Bedside tables with light double wardrobe with hanging part & shelves. Air con. This bedroom shares a separate loo with Bedroom 1
• Bedroom 3 – Double bedroom upstairs with amazing views over the vineyards in the distance and to Cap d’agde. Double bed with bedside tables & lights, dressing table & chair. Double wardrobe, hanging part and shelves. Air con. Leading to landing with shower room & separate loo.
• Bedroom 4 – Twin bedroom upstairs with amazing views over the vineyards in the distance and countryside to Cap d’agde. Twin beds with bedside tables & lights. Small chest of drawers, shelves, hanging area. Air con. Leading to landing with shower room & separate loo.

Outside 

• We have a large pool 11 m x 4 m surrounded by a Mediterranean garden and to the west side of the house we have an area of lawn. Against the wall on this side is also found the barbecue. To the official front of the villa is plenty of parking. To the side of the garage is the drying area for any laundry. Around the pool and the terrace we have arranged the sun loungers to catch the sun! Enjoy.
• The table on the terrace seats 8 people and is under the covered part of the terrace. To one end of the terrace is the G&T area where we enjoy sitting in the evening with a glass of something cool in our hands. (we can recommend the local Picpoul, Sauvignon Blanc & Rose. There are steps from the terrace to the drive at one end, in the middle and end of the terrace to the swimming pool.
• The garden is completely enclosed by fencing with a very large white gate which is remotely operated, at the top of the drive. The pool and garden are managed on a regular basis. Our House Manager speaks English.
