Luxury accommodation in rural, peaceful South West France. Mas de Gardou is our French home, which we have lovingly restored and decorated in traditional French style.

The house has every possible comfort.
- The pool is very spacious, surrounded by trees, and has a raised eating area with a huge stone table that can sit 10-12 people. There are plenty of loungers, and also a sofa area with a fire pit, for those late night swims.
- The terrace provides a sometimes welcome break from the sun, where you can eat al fresco at the outdoor dining table, or just relax on the comfy sofas with a drink and a book. We hope you’ll love the place even half as much as we do!
The house comprises of:
- 4 bedrooms – 3 with king size bed and 1 with 2 double beds
- Bathroom – 1 on the first floor and a second one on the top floor
Mas de Gardou is in the tiny hamlet of Gardou (just 4 houses), in the commune of Saint Projet. We are less than 10 minutes drive to the pretty medieval village of Caylus, where you can find all your amenities, and less than 30 minutes drive to larger towns like Villefranche de Rouergue. Mas de Gardou is a rural setting, with large gardens, and a private heated pool, and the property is not overlooked.
£2,000 per week in the high season, July and August. Please request prices for other dates.

We were 2 families of 4 with teenagers in August 2026 and we had a fantastic time at Mas de Gardou. The house and garden are beautiful and we particularly enjoyed the large pool in the scorching heat. Our favourite parts of this property were
– the huge stone table next to the pool, constantly shaded, perfect for board games (many are provided at the house)
– the enormous veranda outside the front door with dining table and comfy seating area.
All the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The top two bedrooms are in the eaves and got very warm but fans were provided by the host. Roddy is very friendly and responsive. We were glad he prompted us to book at the nearby restaurant (Chez Jano) as the midweek lunch 3 course set menu for EUR20 is superb value. The house is well located with amazing (very busy) markets at Villefranche-de-Rouergue and St Antonin Noble Val. We enjoyed kayaking and accrobrance at the latter.
No hesitations in thoroughly recommending this property!
