The property is situated in the picturesque village of Saint Saud Lacoussiere, situated in Northern Dordogne. Saint Saud is a village of 60000 hectares with 862 inhabitants. The village is situated on the border of the Limousin area.
In Saint Saud you will find a local bakery, a butcher’s, a pharmacy, a garage and petrol station, a village shop for all your daily needs, newspaper and tobacco shop as well as a variety of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Our village proudly hosts the ‘Hostellerie St Jaques’ one of the top restaurants in South-West France, just a few minutes’ walk from your accommodation.
There is also a lake with a beach, where you can swim and enjoy a meal on the terrace. During July and August, many festivities are organized.
Other activities in the area include a Tennis court (500 m), Horse riding (10 Km), Canoeing (15 Km), 18 Hole Golf Course (30 Km) and many more.
During the other months, there are also numerous festivities for example in October there is the festival of the Cepes.
The Sanctuary is well placed to give easy access to the touristic delights of the Dordogne.
Located at the heart of the regional national park Perigord there are all the pleasure and relaxation activities you would expect in the Dordogne.
From the Prehistoric caves to the trail of Richard Lionheart, the gastronomic cuisine and beautiful scenery, the wild activities and the relaxing garden, there is something for everyone in The Sanctuary!
