Beautiful villa near to Montolieu a National Book and Arts town and 20 mins away from Carcassonne. Wonderful restaurants about 3 miles down the hill in Montolieu there is ‘Chapters’, Maison de Mallast”, ‘Le Recontre’, ‘Thé et Co’ and a new little patisserie. Also up the hill about 2 miles away is ‘Entre Nous Deux’.
Near is St Denis there is a bike hire and further along there is Saissac with an amazing castle and a lovely restaurant.

Great villa. Had returners regularly who loved coming here and are welcoming them again this year. We have had the villa for 12 years & welcomed lots of guests as we aim to create somewhere people want to stay so we add modern touches with the facilities people now expect Eg British Satellite TV, Nespresso machine, a new wraparound glass balcony, comfy sofa lounge sets on the terrace and all gardens around the villa . Great pool, hot tub, dining and lounge set on the terrace plus bbq and dining set beside the pool.
Wonderful area with superb views over the Aude valley and Pyrénées. Good walking from the house or biking (2 for guest use) with great drives up to Saissac or down to Montolieu or further to Carcassonne.
The airport is a 20minute drive and our favourite restaurants are a 5 min drive from the villa down in Montolieu or Château Pennautier in Pennautier about 15 mins drive.
