Villa in Jard-Sur-Mer, Vendee, France
The property sleeps 6 adults and is equipped with a baby cot and high-chair. The villa is set in a secluded walled garden both to the rear and front aspect. Cars can be parked at the front of the property behind private locked gates.
The villa is well equipped and provides duvets and pillows for all beds (Please bring your own linen and towels).
Fitted Kitchen – full-size electric oven, induction-hob, microwave, Bosch appliances including dish-washer, and a large Bosch fridge. The adjoining garage has a Bosch washing-machine and a chest freezer, accessed from the kitchen.

Lounge area – two John Lewis Sofa-Beds and Bluetooth connected hi-fi to stream your own music
Bedroom 1 – on the upper floor with double bed and pine furniture

The villa is situated in a quiet road a short stroll from the centre of Jard-Sur-Mer with its authentic marina, beaches, cafes, bars and restaurants. Jard-Sur-Mer enjoys more than 2,500 hours of sunshine throughout the year with beautiful, fine sandy beaches and extensive wooded areas running along the coast. The town’s shops include numerous bakeries, a good butchers, wine merchants and a large Super-U (including a huge fresh-fish counter) for all your provisions. There is also the town’s market (the largest in the area) every Monday throughout the year.
Located right on the Vendee Velo cycle track network, which stretches over 1,000km enabling safe cycling at your own pace throughout the Vendee. The tourist office just a few hundred metres away in the town can provide details of local bike hire, fishing, golf, tennis and water sports activities. The opening stages of the Tour de France have passed through Jard-sur-Mer.

Very easy to book with. Once this was done you get a lot of useful info on the house, what’s there and what you will need to bring. Also a lot of info on the area which is very helpful. The house itself is absolutely spot on with everything you could need. A very private back garden where you can sit and relax listening to the local Pétanque group meeting and playing just over the wall. Martin was a pleasure to deal with and would book with him if we were thinking of another visit to Jard-Sur-Mer.

We love Jard Sur Mer in general, and this house in particular. For us, it feels like ‘coming home’. It’s clean, comfortable and well-resourced. The beds are comfortable and the Wi-Fi is very effective. The integrated garage gives access to a washing machine and freezer, and the little garden is a sun trap. We love listening to the games of pétanque being played over the wall! The house sits in a quiet residential street, which is very close to all of the town’s amenities. You could enjoy yourself without having to move your car!
We have stayed here on several occasions over the last eleven years, but usually in July, so we were curious to see what it would be like in September. We loved it!
The town takes on a more relaxed atmosphere as the locals reclaim their town. We always found a table in the local cafés, where we were able to enjoy our coffee and watch the world go by, before visiting the wide range of local shops to buy ingredients for the evening meal. The Monday market is still busy and vibrant, and it’s great to be able to practise your French with the very friendly traders. The Port de Plaisance, which is only a 15 minute walk from the house, offers views of the ocean, sandy beaches and a row of restaurants and cafés. It’s lovely to have a meal or a drink in a restaurant with a view! Further afield, there is an array of towns, villages and attractions to visit, that will entertain the young and the old alike.
Martin’s level of communication, both before the vacation and, in written form within the house, reflects the level of care he takes with his property. We look forward to returning in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend visiting out with the peak season.

We had a great week staying in your cottage in Jard sur mer. It is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The large garage was very useful to store our bikes. The cottage is 2 minutes walk form the centre of town with shops and cafes. We enjoyed the excellent wine shop and the well stocked fruit and vegetable shop. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, we loved Le Terasse Gourmand. The local beaches were lovely with great waves just a 15 minute walk away or a short drive further round the coast. We had a great time with our 2 teenage daughters and hope to return soon.
